soo angry. the world is messed up sometimes.

A man who has killed 10 people and gotton away with it for almost 30 years is gonna rot in prison. Sure, Im glad hes caught. And sure Im glad hes going to prison. But he doesn't deserve to live. He should be put to death. My dad made a good point last night. There a homeless people freezing and starving on the streets, but we chose to feed and shelter murders. All our tax money pays for scumbags to live a relativly healthily life in prison. There only down fall is most will never get out. They have 3 meals a day, a bed, tv's to watch, gym equipment to exercise on and they don't pay for nothing. Sounds like a better deal than mine. I can't even afford to buy a gym membership and no ones here preparing my food, plus I gotta pay for all of it.

The BTK killer wanted to be a famous serial killer. What a sick person.I wonder if one day when he was a young boy he decided that."Hmmmm. when I grow up I want to be a famous serial killer." Thats completely sick. This man even left letters to the press and made phone calls to the police telling them where they would find his next victim. He killed 10 innocent people. And for what reason?None at all. Im not going to say that murder is ever ok, but if you gonna do it atleast have a reason. Revenge might be one. I cant even think of anymore examples to kill someone. But to kill people for the pure pleasure of it, just makes me feel like this man doesn't deserve the breath hes breathing.

Think of all the victims, then double that about 10 times, becasue its not just the victims that are affected its the family and friends. That could end up being hundreds of people. And why they are suffering and trying to put there lives back together this man is pretending to live a normal life, pretending like he hasn't killed people. He has more chances than any of his victims even did.

I know the death penalty is controversial becasue theres always a chance of killing an innocent person. But I sure the btk killer admitted to the crimes. Why shouldn't be put to death. We know hes guilty! He wanted to play God and he took 10 peoples lives away, he doesn't deserve his own.

Have you ever seen those movies, cough Sin City cough, were killing the guy you want revenge on seems like the easy way out. In that movie, they keep their victims alive in order for them to suffer more. They end up dying in the end but not before all that torture in between.

All i'm saying is, imagine... for the rest of your life... living in some concrete prison with nothing to do. Giving someone death would probably be alot more pleasant than wasting away 30 years in a cell and getting gangbanged by doods.

Ya you make a good point. But we are still paying for this guy. And he still has rights. Hes gonna publish a book in prison and probably make alot of money for that. Hows that fair.

I also agree with break. Death doesn't punish one in any way as it gives more emotional satisfaction to the victims.

It's funny how the brain works. Psychologically, people believe it's better to have a person out of their lives (via death) than knowing that person is suffering in prison. Meanwhile for the killer, death is mere seconds. In some cases, (ie lethal injection) it's quite painless too. We as the victims don't see it that way though.

As for him writing a book, I don't think that will happen. Instead, look out for the jurors of the case or lawyers to write a book on him.

We as people always find a way to make a buck off tragedy. That'll never change.

Its the ultimate punishment. His life is ended.Ok, he won't suffer, but personally I don't believe he needs to suffer. I just think if you can take 10 lives your don't deserve to live. Sure there are bad things that happen to you in prison, but hes still got shelter, food and entertainment. And all this is at our expensive. The tax payers hard earned money spent on murders to live in prison. While people are dieing on the streets.Homeless and starving.

Ok, he's got shelter, food and entertainment.

The shelter isn't all that good. You've got to worry about your safety constantly (ie. getting stabbed, etc.) The food is crappy (no lobster, sorry.) and the entertainment is mediocre. They also decide if you get a television based on good behavior and other things. So entertainment isn't necessarily guaranteed.

As for us paying for them, you do have a point. Supposedly, it costs North Americans about 75,000 dollars a year to keep a prisoner alive.

But our society believes in rehab. We believe we can change people, even if they're going to be in jail for the rest of their lives. We're basically a society based on second chances.

He's in jail for life. Fine, rehab him and make him become an example for the newbies who come into the jail. Make him talk to them and teach them the error of their ways. Make him convince them that they have a second chance. A chance he'll never get.

I'm not saying it's right. I'm just saying how I believe our society works.
